The Terhaven ferryman is found dead on the banks of the River Scheldt. The obvious conclusion is suicide.

What could have driven this man, who enjoyed life to the full, to suddenly commit such a deed?

His daughter, Jana, becomes obsessed with this enigma when she finds his farewell letter:

Jana's life changes course completely when she discovers the seemingly idyllic riverside village is hiding shady secrets.
