Goalless draw for Standard

Steven Defour's Standard de Liège only managed to bring one point back from their trip to Zulte Waregem on Saturday evening.
The goalless draw took Standard to the top of the first division ahead of Anderlecht, but the Brussels club play Tubize on Sunday.

A win would once again give them a commanding lead.

AA Gent 2 Charleroi 1

AA Gent beat Cercle Brugge at home 2 - 1.

Ruiz was first to score for the home eleven thanks to a penalty. Sergeant managed to equalise in the second half, but Leye took the home eleven back into the lead.

The result means that AA Gent now have the same number of points as Club Brugge that are third in the league. Club Brugge have won one more match than AA Gent.

Westerlo 1 Roeselare 0

Nil - nil at half time said all about the first half of this match. Westerlo got off to a better start in the second half, but failed to turn any chances into goals.

It was only in the closing stages of the match that Farssi managed to score taking the home eleven into the lead.

Westerlo are now fifth in the standings. Roeselare's defeat takes them closer to relegation.

Mouscron 3 Germinal Beerschot 1

Mouscron got off to good start taking the lead after half an hour thanks to Baseggio. Leko equalised just before half-time.

Okwunwanne put Mouscron back in front after an hour's play, while Sakanoko made Germinal Beerschot's humiliation complete.

KV Mechelen 2 Charleroi 1

Charleroi were first to score thanks to Oulmers. It took until the second half for KV Mechelen to come back into the game. Vleminckx equalised in the 56th minute.

The player was also man of the match scoring KV Mechelen's second goal too.

Dender 0 Mons 0

Mons are already certain of relegation, but Dender had their hands full containing the Hainault eleven.

Goalie Berthelein prevented the visitors - his former team - from scoring on several occasions.

Mons took home a point from this match - their first after nine defeats.
