Anderlecht and Standard on level pegging

Anderlecht's draw against Tubize on Sunday means that the Brussels club and Standard de Liège are now on level pegging at the top of the Belgian first division. On Saturday Standard also drew against Zulte Waregem.
The result dashes Anderlecht's hopes of taking a commanding lead as the race for the championship title enters the final stretch.

Anderlecht had hoped to profit from Standard's draw, but in the event they were lucky to draw themselves.

Dufer was first to take the home eleven into the lead, piling on the pressure on Anderlecht.

It was only in extra time that Wasilewski scored the equaliser.

Tubize are now second from bottom and are relegated together with Mons.
