Egypt arrests Belgian terror suspect

The Egyptian authorities say that they have detained a Belgian national as a terrorist suspect. The Belgian was arrested together with six other suspects.
Those detained stand accused of complicity in a bomb attack in the Egyptian capital Cairo last February.
The explosion occurred in a neighbourhood popular with tourists. A 17-year-old French girl was killed in the outrage.

Twenty-four people were injured.

The Belgian has dual Belgian and Tunisian nationality. Two other members of the group are Palestinians.

A Briton of Egyptian descent and a French national with Albanian origins have also been held.

Egypt says that the attack was ordered by Osama Bin Laden's Al-Qaeda.
