De Waele takes the stage outsprinting Van Avermaet

The Tour of Belgium moved into the Ardennes for the fourth stage on Saturday. Belgium's Bert De Waele won the race coming in just ahead of Greg Van Avermaet, also a Belgian. Lars Boom of the Netherlands came in third and moves into the overall leader's position.
The Tour of Belgium moved into the Ardennes for the fourth stage on Saturday. The 174.5km circuit out from Fléron and back was not the sprinters' race that the first three stages were.

Landbouwkrediet-Colnago's Bert De Waele made a last kilometre attack on Marco Marcato (Vacansoleil) and outtook the Italian. Marco Marcato came in 6th.

Greg Van Avermaet (Silence-Lotto) took second ahead of Dutch champion Lars Boom. The cyclo-cross star Boom took over the lead in the race from sprinter Borut Bozic (Vacansoleil) who did not make the front group.
