Westerlo’s misery continues

Friday evening saw the first of this weekend’s matches in the Belgian First Division. The match between Westerlo and Zulte Waregem provided both teams with the chance to impress after their sluggish start to the new season.

However, Zulte Waregem kept the pressure on and came close to scoring when a Roelants effort hit the post.

Westerlo failed to seize the chances created on the counter and the first half ended 0-0.
