Serious fire in port of Brussels

In the port of Brussels a serious fire broke out at a company that recycles cars and metals. The smoke and stench have spread throughout the neighbourhood.
The fire broke out at around 12:00 noon and spread quickly. No one was hurt in the blaze but the damage is considerable. What's more the smoke and stench are still lingering around the north of Brussels.

The authorities think that the fire started in the area where gas canisters are stored and spread quickly throughout the building. The Vilvoordsesteenweg (Vilvoorde Street) had to be blocked off because there was danger of an explosion occurring. This danger has no reportedly subsided.

The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
