Bad patch continues for AA Gent

The bad patch continues for AA Gent. There were wins for Kortrijk and Westerlo in Saturday night's action, while Zulte Waregem and Roeselare drew.

AA Gent who are ranked third in the league lost at home to Sint-Truiden on Saturday night. Two weeks after their giant-slaying match away against Anderlecht Sint-Truiden were again in top condition.

Already in the first half AA Gent let down the home crowd that didn't hesitate to show its anger.

Chimedza took the visitors into the lead in the second half thanks to a header. The Buffaloes now assaulted the Sint-Truiden goalmouth, but all to little avail.

Gent that started the season so well seem to have lost their bearings in the New Year. They have only managed to land three points from their last five matches. Zulte Waregem are now breathing down their neck.

Sint-Truiden is in the ascendant and a firm candidate for the play-offs.
