Michel Preud'homme goes North

The legendary goalkeeper of the Belgian national squad, the Red Devils, is to become the new coach of the Dutch champions FC Twente.

Preud'homme has signed a three year contract with the Dutch team.

Until now the former Red Devil had successfully coached AA Gent. This year AA Gent end the season in second place in League Division One. AA Gent also won the Belgian Cup.

Preud'homme earned 58 caps with the Red Devils.

Later he joined Benifica Lisboa of Portugal as their goalie. When he ended his playing career he stayed with the club becoming its technical director.

Preud'homme eventually returned to Belgium. Before coaching AA Gent he also served in the same capacity at Standard de Liège.
