Agnes Pandy freed

Agnes Pandy has been released from Bruges Women’s Prison in West Flanders. 50-year-old Pandy was serving a 21 year sentence for aiding and abetting her father to kill six family members at their home in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek.

The gruesome murders took place in the 1980’s.

The Protestant minister and religious instruction teacher Andras Pandy was detained for questioning on the disappearance of various members of his family in 1997.

The case finally came to court in 2002.

Agnes Pandy has been fitted with an electronic tag and must respect a curfew.

She will be staying with Dominican nuns in Bruges.

Agnes Pandy developed breast cancer while she was in prison.
