Wins for Kortrijk, Cercle and Lokeren

Racing Genk are top of the first division this Sunday morning with Anderlecht second and AA Ghent third. None of these teams were involved in Saturday night's action.

KV Kortrijk got off to a good start against Eupen with Rossini soon taking the West Flemings into the lead. Eupen's Espinal was shown a second yellow card and the club that is currently languishing at the bottom of the first division had to get by with only ten players on the field.

Mboyo headed a second Kortrijk goal into the net just before half-time. Vandenbergh opened the scoring for Eupen in the second half. Kortrijk too were soon only with ten players after Martin was sent off. Kums sealed Eupen's fate taking the score to 3 - 1.

Kortrijk are now 6th, Eupen 16th and bottom.

Lokeren 1 Germinal Beerschot 0

This was a match with little interesting football.

The most exciting example of the beautiful game was saved for the closing minutes when Persoons scored for Lokeren from great distance.

It was the only goal of the match and managed to land three points for the East Flemish club.

Lokeren are 8th in the standings, Germinal Beerschot 11th.

SK Lierse 0 Cercle Brugge 1

Lierse lost for a first time since Eric Van Meir became the Antwerp club's new coach. For Cercle Brugge there was a first too. It was the Bruges eleven's first away win this season. Cornelis scored thanks to a free kick.

Cercle are a good seventh in the standings with Lierse a poor 15th and in danger of relegation.

Sint-Truiden 1 Westerlo 2

Sint-Truiden took an early lead thanks to Deferm, but it was Westerlo's night with Henrique scoring twice in the closing stages of the match.

Sint-Truiden are 13th in the standings, Westerlo ninth.

Zulte Waregem 1 Charleroi 1

Losada was first to score for the visitors in the second half, but Matton managed to hold Charleroi to a draw equalising towards the end of the match.

Zulte Waregem are 12th, Charleroi 14th.
