Anderlecht lead teams to the Play Offs

In the Belgian First Division Anderlecht go on to the play off stage as competition leaders. They are joined by Standard and Lokeren that both won their match on Sunday. They will play in Play Off I together with Club Brugge, Gent and Genk.

At the bottom of the soccer league Eupen and Charleroi meet to decide who will be relegated. SK Lierse can stay in the First Division for another season.

Anderlecht picked up three points from its win against AA Gent, but victory was not secured without any difficulty. Twice Anderlecht came from behind. De Sutter and Lukaku ensured a 3 - 2 win. It was a disappointing night for AA Gent that saw their chances of securing the championship fade further.

Racing Genk did fare a lot better securing a 1 - 0 away win against Cercle Brugge and extending their lead over the Buffaloes. Standard, too, made it through to the Play Offs landing the sixth and last place. It beat Germinal Beerschot at home 1 - 0.

Lokeren travelled to Sint-Truiden to experience a hard time, but thanks to Mokulu managed a 2 - 0 victory and a place in the Play Off I. KV Mechelen beat Eupen 2 - 0 at home, but failed to make it to the Play Off stage stranding in seventh position.

Lierse drew against a faltering Club Brugge and managed to stay out of the Play downs. Charleroi that face a relegation duel against Eupen lost 2 - 2 against Westerlo.
