Twin burglars get identical sentence

Oudenaarde magistrates have given two identical twin brothers an identical sentence after they were convicted on two counts of burglary.

The two 24-year-olds were caught red handed when they were about to burgle a school.

When the police carried out a search at their home they recovered the loot from an earlier burglary. Only one footprint was found as evidence at the scene of this burglary.

As the two brothers have the same shoe size, they both tried to get the other to go down for the first burglary.

The magistrate, who was unable to make out whether both or only one of the twins was responsible for this housebreak, decided to give them both a one year custodial sentence.
