Then end for Wickmayer

The last Belgian competing in the 2011 French Open, Yanina Wickmayer, lost her third round matche against. Agnieszka Radwańska on Saturday evening. The Fleming was beaten in two sets 6-4, 6-4 by the Polish player. Wickmayer amassed fault after fault while Radwańska remained solid throughout.

Although Wickmayer went on the attack, she made far too many mistakes to make much of an impression.

Radwańska made the most of Wickmayer’s sloppiness.

At 4-3 in she took the breakpoint and it was plain sailing for the rest of the first set.

Radwańska took a 1-3 advantage in the second set.

However Wickmayer pulled back to 3-3.

Despite this recovery, it was not to be Wickmayer’s day.

The Fleming eventually lost the set 6-4 and it was game, set and match to Radwańska.
