Brussels Airlines couldn't fit in all the luggage

Passengers on a Brussels Airlines flight to Toulouse were in for a quite a surprise. The airline flew them to their destination, but was unable to get all their luggage on board because of a strike by French fuel suppliers.

The strike meant that the airplane needed to carry sufficient fuel on board for the return flight as well. As a result, due to weight restrictions, there was no room left for all the passengers’ luggage. Half had to travel via a different route.

Geert Sciot of Brussels Airlines: "It was impossible to fly the luggage to Toulouse. At the moment we have to fly luggage to another airport and then transport it to Toulouse by road. The luggage is then being delivered to our passengers."
