Saturday night is museum night in Antwerp

Saturday 6 August is museum night in Antwerp. For the seventh year, museums will stay open beyond midnight to mark the occasion. In addition to a host of interesting exhibits, the city’s sixteen museums will lay on live music and cosy pavement cafés within their grounds.

A one-off payment of 7 Euro in advance or 8 Euros once the Museum Night is underway gives you unlimited access to museums such as the Rubens House, the Fashion Museum and the recently-opened MAS.

There is also a shuttle bus service between the various museums. The evening gets under with a performance by the Mehter fanfare band from Turkey on the square in front of Antwerp City Hall.

This provides a unique opportunity to see them perform here in Flanders.

Hire bikes will be available for a one-off payment of 2 Euro. Special cycle routes have been drawn up taking in the participating museums.
