Ajax and Tottenham do deal over Vertonghen

The Dutch public broadcaster NOS reports that Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur have reached agreement on the transfer of the Belgian international defender Jan Vertonghen. Spurs are reported to be offering 12 million Euro for the 25-year-old Fleming.

The North London club finished fourth in the English Premier League would have gained has a place in the preliminary round of next season’s Champions’ League had Chelsea not won this season’s Champions’ League final.
