Will stuffed fox deal with nuisance seagulls?

In recent months seagulls have become a growing nuisance in the jet-set Flemish seaside resort of Knokke-Heist. In order to tackle the problem the town authorities are seeking recourse to an unusual solution.

Knokke is deploying a stuffed fox and remotely controlled vehicles to combat the pests.

It's especially on the coast that seagulls are proving to be a nuisance. Coastal resorts are now working on an action plan. In Knokke they hope that the stuffed fox will provide at least part of the solution.

The vehicles will operate on the roof of a school. They will be operated by a group of volunteers who will keep an eye on the situation. The group includes a number of people who haven't been able to get any sleep because of the racket caused by the seagulls.
