Kenian wins Brussels Marathon

Once again a Kenian came out on top in the Brussels Marathon. This year it was Joash Mutai that was the fastest man on the 42.195km course through the streets of our capital city. His finishing time of 2 hours 16 minutes and 41 seconds was 2 minutes 42 seconds faster than his compatriot Noah Kosgei who came in second for the second year running.

The fastest Belgian was Jess Bertels who came in fifth with a time of 2 hours 33 minutes and 6 seconds.

The German Duitse Claire Macht won the women’s race with a time of 3 hours 6 minutes and 15 seconds.

This was two minutes faster than the Belgian Hilde Kippers.
