Second baby this year left in foundling drawer

For the second time this year a baby has been left in the so-called “foundling drawer” of the Antwerp not for profit organisation “Moeders voor Moeders” (Mother for Mothers). The baby boy was found in the draw on Saturday. Mothers for Mothers have not released any information as to the age of the infant, only confirm that he is a baby boy and will be given the surname De Kleine (little one) for the time being.

Social services are now looking for foster parents to take care of the baby.

Meanwhile, police are trying to find the identity of the baby’s mother. She has until six months after his birth to ask for her baby boy back.

In June of year another baby boy was left in the “Foundling drawer” that is in the Antwerp district of Borgerhout.
