Euro Millions: Belgian ticket holders share 26 million euros

Belgium's National Lottery that runs the Belgian operation of the European Euro Millions draw has confirmed that two ticket holders that purchased their ticket in Belgium have won the Euro Millions jackpot and can share 26.5 million euros.

Punters in Belgium wagered 5 million euros on Euro Millions last Friday. The organisation stages a joint lottery in nine different countries: Belgium, the UK, Spain, Ireland, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal.

The highest win in Belgium occurred in 2007 when a ticketholder went home with 100 million euros. Last year a Belgian ticket holder won 79 million euros.
