Corvia wants homeless people to be able to develop a 'normal' love life and hopes to soon offer them the opportunity of meeting up with a partner is a secure and comfortable setting. Corvia had set its heart on premises in the Lindestraat in the Brussels borough of Schaarbeek, but the owner has now pulled out.
The gentleman told TV Brussels: "It can't go ahead in my building" after he was informed about the exact nature of the undertaking.
Corvia stands accused of merely telling the gentleman that the location would be used for a 'social project'. The owner now fears that his premises will be turned into a brothel: "We can't facilitate this. I don't want that in my building."
The owner also says that his neighbours aren't comfortable with the idea either.
Corvia regrets the owner's decision and has now gone in search of new premises.
