3 draws and only 1 victory

In football, Charleroi were the only team to win on Saturday evening, as 3 other matches all ended in a draw. This was good news for several teams that still hadn't picked up a single point so far this season. The top teams are all playing on Sunday, when the 3rd day of play comes to a close.

KV Oostende - OH Leuven was a game between two teams that had no points. Newly-promoted Ostend had the best chances to win the game, but had to be content with a draw, as Leuven goalkeeper Logan Bailly (photo) made some top-notch saves. Leuven climbed ahead through a penalty before the break, but Ostend equalised on 61 minutes, also through a penalty (1-1).

Lierse - Cercle Brugge ended in a 1-all draw, which allowed Lierse to pick up their first point of the season. Both teams are still without a win however after 3 days of play.

Waasland-Beveren - KV Mechelen (0-0) was another game without a winner. The home team managed a third draw in 3 matches, while Mechelen took their first point this season.

Charleroi were the only team to win yesterday, beating RAEC Mons 1-2 in Mons. Mons climbed ahead before the break, but once again gave a way the lead, with Charleroi scoring twice after the break.

"Super Sunday"

Sunday sees 3 matches: the West-Flemish derby Club Brugge - Zulte Waregem, Anderlecht - AA Gent, and the shock between KRC Genk and Standard. Genk, Standard, Brugge and Zulte Waregem are the only 4 teams that haven't lost a single point so far.
