"I didn't see any passion"

In football, Standard moved past Oud-Heverlee Leuven to post their 4th successive victory this season. A Ludovic Buysens own-goal helped the Reds to a small 1-0 win against the Brabant team. Coach Guy Luzon was not happy: "I didn't see any passion with my players." However, the win lifted Standard back into first place, as the only team that picked up 12 points from 4 matches.

Standard played a disappointing first half. It never posed a serious threat to OHL goalkeeper Logan Bailly. Just after the break, Standard received some help from their opponents, when Buysens beat his own goalkeeper with a header. OHL put up the pressure, but failed to score. The Leuven team also claimed a penalty on two occasions, but this was of no avail.

"It was not good", Luzon told reporters after the match. "We played very slowly and I missed the passion to win. "We should have played better, there are no excuses."

Tonight, Anderlecht travel to Waasland-Beveren in the final match of the 4th day of play.
