A bicycle kick did the trick: "We're all killers"

In football, in-form KRC Genk keep the momentum after moving past Kortrijk. Genk are confirming their title ambitions, as striker Jelle Vossen made the only goal of the match. In other action, defending champions Anderlecht had to work hard for their money in Ostend, while Zulte Waregem beat AA Gent 3-2.

KRC Genk are hot. A bicycle kick by Jelle Vossen on 67 minutes allowed the Limburgers to move past another in-form team, KV Kortrijk. KRC Genk picked up 23 points from their last 9 league games. Local Limburg boy Jelle Vossen spoiled the 21,000 fans with a wonderful goal (photo). "I thought: I'll take my chance. It was all or nothing. You need a little bit of luck as well. Whether this was my best goal ever? Probably, but that doesn't matter."

"Things are going fantastic. We're killers. We have a very solid defence, and all the guys can score a goal. But let's not talk about the title just yet", Jelle Vossen told reporters.

Anderlecht chased away a looming crisis by winning 0-3 in KV Oostende's Albert Park at the coast. Midfielder Kljestan scored one of the 3 Anderlecht goals in Ostend, bringing his tally to 6, which makes him the club's top scorer).

Zulte Waregem put an end to a series of poor results by squeezing past AA Gent 3-2 and retain their top-6 spot. AA Gent meanwhile still haven't won a league match in 2 months' time. Sporting Lokeren move back in the top-6 at the expense of KV Kortrijk after downing Lierse 1-0.

OH Leuven were held to a disappointing 2-all draw against bottom-of-the-table Mons, while Charleroi and KV Mechelen also shared the points (2-2). Mechelen had their resurrection in the final part of the game, after having been 2-0 down.
