Zulte Waregem back in the winning mood

After four games without a victory Zulte Waregem is back in the winning mood. Francky Dury’s men enjoyed a comfortable 3-1 win at home against Sporting Lokeren. The result sees Zulte Waregem move to within two points of the league-leaders Standard de Liège who play this afternoon.

The first half saw Zulte Waregem make light work of a dormant Lokeren. The home side scored twice in two minutes through Hazard (15 minutes) and Conte (17 minutes). Lokeren have keeper Verhulst to thank that that they didn’t go even further behind before the half was out.

It was more of the same in the second have with a dominant Zulte Waregem only being kept at bay by an excellent Verhulst.
The match slowed down and the number of fouls increased as the half wore on.

However, things livened up just before the final whistle with Sylla making it 3-0 to Zulte Waregem. An injury time goal from Lokeren’s De Pauw made for a final score of 3-1 to Zulte Waregem.
