Wins for KV Kortrijk and KV Oostende

Four of this weekend's eight matches in the Belgian First Division were played on Saturday evening. KV Kortrijk came from being a goal down to win 2-1 away at KV Mechelen. KAV Mechelen's goal came in the first half when Kosanovic scored from the penalty spot on 28 minutes.

Despite a sluggish start to the second half, KV Kortrijk picked up later on, equalising through Pavlovic on 68 minutes.

Marusic scored the winning goal for the West Flemings ten minutes later. Both KV Mechelen and KV Kortrijk have 3 points from their first three games of the season.

First points of the season for KVO

A Franck Berrier goal 2 minutes before half time was enough to give KV Oostende victory in the West Flemish derby against Cercle Brugge.

The win sees the Ostend team take their first points of the new season. KVO now have 3 points from 3 games. Cercle Brugge have 2 points.

All square in Westerlo v Waasland-Beveren

Newly-promoted Westerlo kissed goodbye to their 100% record on Saturday, only drawing 1-all against Waasland-Beveren.

Both goals came in the second half. Gounongbe open the scoring from the penalty spot for Westerlo on 75 minutes only for Bojovic (photo) to equalise for Waasland-Beveren 3 minutes later.

The result sees Waasland-Beveren take their first point of the season. Westerlo now have 7 points.

Lierse and Mouscron draw

In a well-balanced game, but none the less at times highly-enjoyable game, Lierse SK drew 2-all with Mouscron-Peruwelz.

Lierse took the lead on 37 minutes through Kelta, making for a half-time score of 1-0 in the home side's favour.

However, goals from Vandendriessche on 55 minutes and Delacourt (photo) on 74 minutes saw Mouscron-Péruwelz take the lead.

The visitors' joy was short-lived though and Bourabia 79th minute goal was enough to ensure that the points were shared.

Both Lierse SK and Mouscron-Péruwelz have 4 points from their first 3 game.
