It’s rare for victims to be identified these days, with the last identity being established in May. Only 60 per cent of the 2,753 victims who met their untimely end on September 11 have been officially identified. This comes down to 1,639 people in total. However, they are still trying to connect – usually microscopically small – human remains to a name 13 years later.
Patrice Braut’s mother, Paola, was in New York two weeks ago to attend the memorial ceremony.
