Seefbier crowned “Best Belgian Speciality Beer”

Antwerp’s Seefbier has been given the award for best Belgian speciality beer at the World Beer Awards in the English city of Norwich. It is the fourth time that the Antwerpse Brouw Compagnie that brews Seefbier has won a gold medal at an international beer awards.

The World Beer Awards are held annually. Professional juries in Europe, Asia and America carry out blind tastings of the entrants and select the best beer from their regions.

The best beer from each region is then tasted by the juries from the other regions and on the basis of their findings the “World’s Best Beer” is selected. On Friday Seefbier was selected as the “Best Belgian Speciality Beer”.

It is the fourth time that Seefbier has won a renowned beer award. At the end of July the Antwerp brew took gold at the Global Craft Beer Awards. Previously Seefbier already won the World Beer Cup in the United States and a World Beer Awards last year.
