Anderlecht remains on top despite draw

After ten games Sporting Anderlecht remains top of the Belgian First Division despite only drawing 0-0 at home against KRC Genk. Anderlecht’s Kabasele missed shot a penalty kick against the post.

In Sunday’s other clash of the Titans, Club Brugge enjoyed a 3-0 home win against Standard de Liège played the lion’s share of the game with ten men after Enoh was sent off for a foul on Vormer.

Timmy Simons scored twice from the penalty spot on 26 and in the first minute of injury time. Castillo made it 3-0 for the West Flemings in the 6th minute of injury time.

Standard’s Jeff Louis was sent off on 89 minutes. The result sees Club Brugge move up to 4th in the league with 17 points from 10 games. Standard is 11th with 12 point.

Lokeren joint-second after 3-1 win

Despite going behind to a 16th minute goal by KV Oostende’s Brillant, Sporting Lokeren enjoyed a 3-1 win on Sunday evening. Lokeren’s goals came from De Pauw (on 51 minutes) and Maric on 54 and 63 minutes from the penalty spot.

The result sees Sprting Lokeren move up to joint 2np place in the table with 18 points from 10 games. KV Oostende is 6th with 14 points.
