Busta Rhymes to play Couleur Café

The organisers of the annual Couleur Café music festival in Brussels have announced the last name of an act that will complete the bill of the 3 day festival. The veteran American rapper Busta Rhymes will join a line-up of no fewer than 66 acts that perform at the festival that is to be held on the 3, 4, 5 July at the Thurn & Taxis site.

It will be Busta Rhymes’ first appearance at a Belgian festival. He will take centre stage on the second day of the festival on 4 July.

Busta Rhymes’ big breakthrough came in the mid-1990’s with the single "Woo hah!! Got you all in check". He has since worked with well known-artists such as Kanye West and Eminem and groups such as the Pussy Cat Dolls and Wu-Tang Clan. Possibly Busta Rhymes’ most well-known number is "Turn it up, fire it up" in which the theme tune to the 1980 American television series Knight Rider is re-worked.

This year’s festival is the 26th Couleur Café. Other big names that will perform during the first weekend of July include Wu Tang Clan, Wyclef Jean, Etienne de Crécy, Cypress Hill and Baruka Som Sistema.
