Anderlecht dominated the game against newly-promoted Sint-Truiden (or STVV) from Limburg (dubbed the Canaries for their yellow outfit). However, the Brussels side had difficulty in converting their chances into goals, a problem that has been giving coach Besnik Hasi a headache for weeks now.
It was Stefano Okaka, a striker who arrived from Sampdoria, who saved Anderlecht on 32 minutes. The goal was prepared by playmaker Dennis Praet, the winner of the Golden Boot for the year 2014 in January.
In other action, KRC Genk were stopped by KV Kortrijk, 1-0. Stijn De Smet scored the only goal of the game just after the break. Genk had a disappointing performance in a rather dull match. Kortrijk have the best defence in the league, but also find it hard to score goals.
