US tourist stabbed on Brussels market square

An American tourist was stabbed on Brussels' historic market square last night. The stabbing occurred during a brawl. The American suffered a stab wound to his chest, but is not seriously injured.

Two suspects were detained in the Central Station shortly afterwards. One of the suspects was carrying a bloody Swiss army knife. A third suspect was detained near the stock exchange building a few hours later. Two of the suspects are aged 20 and 21.

The victim had to be taken to hospital as a result of the stabbing but is not in a life-threatening condition.
