It's a chip war in Ghent

In the fair city of Ghent angry mobile chippy owners pelted the city's magnificent town hall building last night. The mobile chippy owners are unhappy with the auctioning of licences to run chippies in the East Flemish capital.

Under new rules independent mobile chippy owners are no longer able to place the highest bid for their usual spot. The city of Ghent says it's not fair that in this way some mobile chippy onwers have been able to keep the best spots for themselves for many years.
