Flemish directors land Hollywood contract

Flemish film directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have landed a contract with Paramount, one of the main American film studios. The Flemings will direct the movie 'Beverly Hills Cop 4'.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah say they have always been fans of the star Eddie Murphy for whom the film will mean a comeback. "Knowing he wants us is a great compliment" the directors told VRT's Ward Verrijcken.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah: "We grew up with Hollywood movies. During our studies in Brussels they told us we would never make it to Hollywood, but we have."

The Flemings received the offer from the US producer Jerry Bruckheimer. If everything goes according to plan shooting of Beverly Hills Cop 4 will start at the end of the year. The movie should hit box offices in the fall of 2017. Until then Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will work on "Snowfall", a series commissioned by the US broadcaster FX.

Earlier Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah directed "Image" and "Black".
