Wins for Anderlecht, Zulte Waregem, Sint-Truiden and Charleroi

Four of this weekend’s eight Belgian First Division games were played on Saturday. As ever, flandersnews.be keeps you up to date with all the First Division action. In the 6pm kick-off Sporting Anderlecht took all three points from their trip to Excel Mouscron. Anderlecht had gone behind after a first half goal from Markovic on 26 minutes.

However, two goals in three minutes in the second half were enough to give Anderlecht victory.

Sporting’s goal’s came from Acheampong on 62 minutes and Sylla on 65 minutes.

Three goals in the last half hour for Zulte Waregem

Newly-promoted Eupen held their own for the first hour at Zulte Waregem.

However, the Pandas’ fans that had travelled more than 210 km to see their team’s first match back in the top flight returned home with their tails between their legs.

Leye opened the scoring for Zulte Waregem from the penalty spot on 67 minutes.

Derijck made it 2-0 on 72 minutes. Lepoint sealed Eupen’s fate when he made it 3-0 to Zulte Waregem on 84 minutes.

Narrow victories for Sint-Truiden and Sporting Charleroi

Sint-Truiden started the new season with a 1-0 win at home against Sporting Lokeren. Sint-Truiden’s goal came from Proschwitz on 76 minutes.

A Willems goal three minutes into injury time was enough to give Sporting Charleroi victory in their game against Waasland-Beveren.
