Zulte Waregem and Charleroi make no mistakes

In football, two teams are left with the maximum of 6 points after two days of play: Zulte Waregem and Charleroi. The former won 0-2 at Waasland-Beveren, while Charleroi squeezed past Mouscron-Péruwelz, 0-1. The two leaders can still be joined by Anderlecht and KRC Genk.
Zulte Waregem (in red) kept a clean sheet for the second time, a big change compared to last season.

Champions Club Brugge lost the maximum on Friday, losing 1-0 at KV Oostende. Of the traditional 5 top teams, only Anderlecht and KRC Genk can retain the maximum of 6 points tonight and join the two other leaders. Anderlecht are hosting KV Kortrijk while KRC Genk travel to AA Gent.

Labelled the first summit match of the season by football pundits, Gent-Genk takes place tonight. Both teams had a successful week in Europe, as they both qualified for the final preliminary round of the Europa League last Thursday.

Anderlecht will try to restore their confidence after a disappointing exit in the Champions League qualifiers against Russia's Rostov. However, opponents KV Kortrijk held AA Gent to a draw last weekend.

These are yesterday's results: Mouscron - Charleroi 0-1, Eupen - KV Mechelen 0-2, Waasland-Beveren - Zulte Waregem 0-2, Standard - STVV 2-0
