The Olympics are over for the Michaël Bultheel. The 30-year-old came in 5th in his semi-final of the 400 metres hurdles.

His time of 49.46 seconds left him 18th out of the 24 semi-final competitors. This was not good enough for a final place.

No medal for Evi Van Acker

A 6th place in medal race in the Radial Class was not good enough for the East Flemish sailor Evi Van Acker to take a medal. Speaking after the race Evi Van Acker told VRT Sport that “I still had a chance, but I didn’t take it. I only have myself to blame”.

A disappointing day for Lefebvre and Pelsmaekers

“I can’t allow myself any more mistakes”

The second day of the show jumping was very nearly the last for Jérôme Guery. He was the last jockey to qualify for the next qualifying round.

Aware that his Olympics are now hanging on a thread Jérôme Guery told VRT Sport that "Tomorrow, I can’t allow myself to make any more mistakes”.
