Not the best start to the day for Benoît Lutgen

It was never going to be an easy day for the leader of the Francophone Christian democrat party Benoît Lutgen. With talks taking place between Mr Lutgen and the leader of the Francophone Federalist Party Défi Olivier Maingain about new coalitions in the Walloon, Francophone Language Community and Brussels Regional government he was going to need to have his wits about him.

However, this certainly didn’t seem to be the case when Mr Lutgen tried to drive into the garage at the Parliament of the French-Language Community in Brussels.

He misjudged the breadth of the garage door and his car smashed into the side of it. Thankfully no one was injured in the incident.
