Bruges statues are still missing

The search continues in the West Flemish city of Bruges for a group of statues that disappeared almost a week ago. The police and the Judicial Authorities have visited the company that provided a crane to take the statues from the former home on ‘t Zand in the centre of the historic city to a new home in the King Albert I Park near to Bruges Station.

The statues were stolen from the Blauwe Toren storage facility while they were awaiting transportation to the park. The Judicial Authorities are taking into account that this might be an inside job and the thieve was involved in the removal. However, no trace of the statues was found at the crane company and the statues remain missing without a trace.
