King Filip to cheer on Red Devils in St Petersburg

King Filip will be lending royal support to Belgium's bid to thrash France in the World Cup semi-final in St Petersburg on Tuesday. Queen Mathilde will join her husband in Russia. Sadly, France no longer has a royal family to cheer on its efforts.

It's the second time that King Filip travels to the World Cup in Russia.  Earlier he, together with his sons Gabriel and Emmanuel, witnessed how Belgium trounced Tunisia 5-2 in the group stage.  It's not yet clear whether the king will stay on for the final against England or possibly Croatia or will to-and-fro.

Prime Minister Michel is unable to attend the football extravaganza.  He's tied up with Donald Trump and the NATO council in Brussels on Wednesday and Thursday.  Mr Michel intends to watch the match on a big screen at Braine-le-Comte outside Brussels.
