Heat record broken at Ukkel Weather Centre

Temperatures at the Royal Metrological Institute in Ukkel (Brussels) topped 34.6°C at 1PM making Friday 27 July 2018 the hottest 27 July since records began. The new record beats the previous record for 27 July that was set in 1928. Then temperatures reached 32.4°C.  

The news that a brand new temperatures record had been set appeared on the Twitter accounts of the VRT’s weatherman Franck Deboosere and his colleague from the commercial television network VTM David Dehenauw.
