Club Brugge make light work of KAS Eupen

In the first of Sunday’s three Belgian First Division games the reigning League Champions Club Brugge enjoyed a 5-2 home win against KAS Eupen.

The match was pretty much done and dust after just half an hour. Wesley Moraes opened the scoring for Club after just 6 minutes with Vossen making it 2-0 from the penalty spot on 25 minutes. Club Brugge’s lead was extended to 3 goals just a minute later with Wesley Mores scoring his second goal of the game.

The second half was  just 8 minutes old when Jelle Vossen scored his second and Club Brugge’s 4th goal of the game. Nevertheless KAS Eupen weren’t going to go down without a fight and goals from Ocansey on 70 minutes and Luis Garcia 3 minutes later brought a little bit of excitement back into the game.

Mulumba was sent off for his second bookable offence of the game on 88 minutes and Jelle Vossen scored from the resulting penalty a minute later to make for a final score of 5-2 in Club Brugge’s favour.
