In the 6pm kick-off a goal by Sambou Yatabaré on 16 minutes was enough to see Royal Football Club Antwerp take all three points from their trip to Sporting Charleroi. Sporting Charleroi came close to equalising a couple of minutes later. However, Dessoleil’s shot hit the bar. The result will be a disappointment for Charleroi in what was their first home game of the season.
KRC Genk are bang on form
A strong performance with some attractive and entertaining football saw KRC Genk take all 3 points from their trip to Sporting Lokeren. Alejandro Pozuelo open the scoring for the Limburgers on 3 minutes with Ruslan Malinovskiy putting them 2-0 up on 16 minutes. Genk were on fire and they could easily have widened the score before half time.
However, it wasn’t until 16 minutes into the second half that the 3rd goal came.
Dieumerci Ndongala did the honours on 61 minutes. Filipovic foul on Uronen resulted in Lokeren going down to 10 men on 71 minutes. Leandro Trossard made it 4-0 to Genk 2 minutes later.
