Two Flemings killed in a quadbike accident on Kos

Two men from West Flanders aged 29 and 31 have been killed in a quadbike accident on the Greek holiday island of Kos. The two men from Zwevegem and Harelbeke in the south of the province were friends and colleagues at a firm in Zwevegem.

The Greek news site Dimokratiki reports that the accident happened at around midday in the coastal resort of Psalidi. The 31-year-old driver of the quadbike lost control and crashed head on into another vehicle heading in the opposite direction. Both he and his 29-year-old passenger were killed. The two Flemings are reported to have been staying in Psalidi.

The car that the quad bike collided with was being driven by a 63-year-old man that lives on the island. The cause of the accident is currently the subject on an investigation by the Greek traffic police.
