33-year-old Kenny De Ketele and 21 –year-old Robbe Ghys took 60 in the race. This was 11 points more than the German duo of Kluge and Reinhardt. Hayter-Wood came in third for Great Britain.
This is Belgium’s third medal at the European Cycling Championships. However, it’s the first time that our cyclists have taken gold. Kenny De Ketele took silver on Sunday in the points race. On Friday Jolien D’hoore took bronze in the scratch.
