1.56 kilos of cocaine seized at the Port of Antwerp

For the second time in the week the customs at the Port of Antwerp have made a major seizure of drugs. The Federal Department of the Economy that is responsible for the Customs and Excise Service reports that that 1.561 kilos of cocaine were discovered in a container at the port.  

The drugs were concealed among a consignment of tree trunks that had arrived at Antwerp from Colombia. The cocaine is said to have a street value of 75 million euro. On Monday we reported that customs officers had seized 1.7 kilos of cocaine last with a street value of 80 million euro at the port last Friday.
