Code Yellow weather warning issued for tonight and tomorrow

The Royal Metrological Institute (KMI) has issued a Code Yellow weather warning for Monday night and Tuesday. A weather front will move across the country from west to east on Monday evening and Monday night bringing with it rain and showers.

There is the possibility of some localised storms and the KMI has decided to issue a Code Yellow weather warning for the whole country from 10pm this evening.

Tuesday is expected to be changeable with periods of cloud and rain interspersed with sunny intervals. The Royal Metrological Institute expect some of the showers to be heavy with the possibility of storms and hail. The Code Yellow weather warning will remain in force until 11pm on Tuesday.

The Interior Minister has re-opened the 1722 hotline for those seeking non-urgent assistance.
