Fire at Brussels bus depot

A fire at the Brussels public transport company MIVB’s Klein Eiland depot in the municipality of Anderlecht has sent a cloud of smoke billowing in to the sky that can been seen for kilometres around. One employee has been taken to hospital suffering from the effects of having inhaled the smoke.

The cause of the fire that broke out in a bus that was being repaired at the depot remains a mystery.  The fire spread from the bus and soon the depot’s roof insolation was ablaze. By 11am the Fire Service had the fire under control but remains at the scene to ensure that the fire doesn’t spread to other areas of the depot.
