2 tons of cocaine discovered in Port of Ghent

Police in the port of Ghent found a record two tons of cocaine hidden in containers containing tiles.  The containers hailed from Brazil.  They contained nearly 2,000 packs of cocaine with a street value of 100 million euros.

Judicial police made the discovery on Tuesday.  The containers had been brought into the port by ship from Brazil.  A search revealed 1,900 tightly packed bags of cocaine hidden among tiles. Investigators are now trying to establish which drugs gang is behind the shipment.
